Malwarebytes on Android will not update

I have the full version of Malwarebytes on Android.  The database is now over 2 weeks out of date.  The app shows a warning telling me I must update, but when I press the update button nothing happens.   This has been the case for quite a few days now, is this a known issue?

If you are having technical issues with our Windows product, please do the following:

If you haven’t already done so, please run the Malwarebytes Support Tool and then attach the logs in your next reply:

NOTE: The tools and the information obtained is safe and not harmful to your privacy or your computer, please allow the programs to run if blocked by your system.

  • Download Malwarebytes Support Tool
  • Once the file is downloaded, open your Downloads folder/location of the downloaded file
  • Double-click mb-support-X.X.X.XXXX.exe to run the program
    • You may be prompted by User Account Control (UAC) to allow changes to be made to your computer. Click Yes to consent.
  • Place a checkmark next to Accept License Agreement and click Next
  • You will be presented with a page stating, "Welcome to the Malwarebytes Support Tool!"
  • Click the Advanced Options link

  • Click the Gather Logs button

  • A progress bar will appear and the program will proceed to gather troubleshooting information from your computer
  • Upon completion, click OK
  • A file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to your Desktop
  • Please attach the file in your next reply. Before submitting your reply, be sure to enable "Notify me of replies" like so:

    Click "Reveal Hidden Contents" below for details on how to attach a file:

Hello, please tell us the exact name of your Smartphone.

Which Android Os, are you running?

Wich other security Apps are you running also?

Is your Android Advice roots, or Not?

And what for version, do you use now from Malwarebytes for Mobile, the common NOW is  Malwarebytes for mobile 3.3.0.8, I guess.

I have the same problem with paid Malwarebytes Premium v3.3.1.6, on one of our two Nexus 5X Android-8.1 phones, everyday now for about a week or so; I keep seeing Malwarebytes can't update database  We both are also running Avast Premium. Neither is rooted.

It doesn't seem very helpful for the Malwarebytes Bot to be posting help instructions for the Windows version in the Android forum. 

However, l had the OP's problem persistently with one of my Android phones and it seems to have been resolved with the latest releases.
