:welcome: Hi,

The license KEY has 4 sets of letters with numbers and also 3 dashes.   Please be real sure you also have the dashes there.  But better yet, do a copy & Paste of the whole KEY from the email you got from Cleverbridge and paste it into the KEY field when doing activation.   That is to say, copy the entire 23 characters  ( the whole string).

To activate the license, it is best to apply the Windows way of COPY and then PASTE.
To minimize mistakes, it’s best to copy and paste your ID and Key into the program. If you aren’t familiar with how to copy/paste, here’s a great website that shows you how to do that.
http://www.webmasternow.com/copyandpaste.html

1: start the Malwarebytes program.
2: Click Activate License in the upper right corner ( in blue color), You will then see a smaller window.

3: Copy your Key   & PASTE   into the Key field.
At this point you should see a green check at the side of each of the 2 lines.

4: Click the Activate License button ( in the middle) to activate your Malwarebytes 3 Premium license

Allow a minute or so for completion. Close the window when done.

Please use the support portal.   Your situation seems more involved. If this is the very first time ever you installed the program or attempted the activation , this error ought to not be happening.

The steps involved in doing the license activation on this machine ran into a communication failure.  internet HTTP communication failed.

What country are you located in?

OK.  Good to know.   and yes, there are occasional situations like yours that call for extra-ordinary measures.
