sjhoyes Posted May 1, 2018 ID:1238675 Share Posted May 1, 2018 Lately I have been getting notifications that the 2 databases (malware and phishing URLs) are out of date. When I press the update database button nothing happens. Can anyone help me with this please?

sjhoyes Posted May 6, 2018 Author ID:1240257 Share Posted May 6, 2018 How do I clean the app data?
Staff Vabadus Posted May 6, 2018 Staff ID:1240260 Share Posted May 6, 2018 Go to System settings go to applications find Malwarebytes If you see "Clear Data" you can press it there, if you do not see click storage, then you should see the button. If going through system settings is hard, you can open Malwarebytes, go to "your apps". Click recently used apps tab and click Malwarebytes and click "App Info", it'll take you to system settings for Malwarebytes.

R123 Posted January 5, 2019 ID:1290728 Share Posted January 5, 2019 I have the exact same issue as Yas.
mbam_mtbr Posted January 8, 2019 ID:1291356 Share Posted January 8, 2019 Hi @R123, This is a known issue on a limited amount of mobile devices. This will be addressed in your next release. In the meantime, below are some methods to resolve until the update comes out. If you are having trouble with our Database Version not updating, there are a couple of methods you can try. Each method should be attempted individually, and if one doesn’t work, try another: Clear Malwarebytes for Android cache Go to Settings Go to Apps Find and click Malwarebytes In Malwarebytes app info page, click Storage Click Clear cache Update using mobile data, not WiFi (warning: mobile data usage applies) Turn off WiFi Open Malwarebytes for Android Under Database Version, press UPDATE NOW Turn WiFi back on Reboot your device In Google Play, see if Malwarebytes needs to be updated Open Google Play Click the three lines that indicate the menu in the upper left Click My apps & games Look for Malwarebytes in update list If all else fails, uninstall Malwarebytes for Android and reinstall from Google Play Nathan
