Malika4 #1 Posted May 1, 2018 Today was released a new version of 7zip 18.05 vulnerability in RAR unpacking code was fixed (CVE-2018-10115) this bug can be turned into a reliable weaponized code execution exploit. Due to the lack of ASLR on the main executables, the only difficult part of the exploit was to carry out the heap massaging within the restricted context of RAR extraction. Fortunately, the new 7-Zip 18.05 not only resolves the bug, but also comes with enabled ASLR on all the main executables. Resource: https://landave.io/2018/05/7-zip-from-uninitialized-memory-to-remote-code-execution/ new version 18.05 removes the vulnerability. So in Malwarebytes 3.4.5 there are 2 7z.dll libraries and are from version 18.01 that has the vulnerability so I would know is a risk? There will be from Malwarebytes an update of this 2 7z.dll?
