I am having the same issue. I am not able to run mbam.exe, HijackThis and RootRepeal. My pc runs on Windows-XP Professional Version 2002 SP3. I have been trying to fix my pc for last 1 week.

Will the same steps (replacing scecli.dll) work for XP version? Is it safe to replace infected scecli.dll? will it crash the pc ?

Please let me know if anybody have solution.

I am not using Vista. I don't have issue in Cryptograhic Service. I am using Windows XP Professional. My issue is I am not able to run mbam.exe, HijackThis, RSIT.exe, Mcafee and RootRepeal. The forum title is misleading. Can you please change the forum title from "Cryptograhic Service won't start" TO "Malwarebytes, HijackThis, RootRepeal, RSIT and Mcafee all won't run". The original forum "http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=21059" provides solution for my issue. but it's for Windows Visa., not for XP. Will the same steps (replacing scecli.dll specified in 21059 forum) work for XP version? Is it safe to replace infected scecli.dll? will it crash the pc ? I am having same issue which is specified in 21059 forum.

If you're having Malware related issues with your computer that you're unable to resolve.
