mbeast Posted April 26, 2018 Author ID:1236841 Share Posted April 26, 2018 I have also used the malwarebytes anti-rootkit (mbar.cmd) and removed any threats and deleted them from the quarantined section. Yet the problem still persists heavily. I attached a screenshot of my task manager. There is also a background process named wmcagent 32bit that I cannot access the file of because I do not have permission, even though I am the only user and the admin on this computer. There could also be more files that I do not know about. I have attached screenshots.

kevinf80 Posted April 26, 2018 ID:1237122 Share Posted April 26, 2018 Run the following: Download Sophos Free Virus Removal Tool and save it to your desktop. This scan is very thorough so may take several hours... Double click the icon and select Run Click Next Select I accept the terms in this license agreement, then click Next twice Click Install Click Finish to launch the program Once the virus database has been updated click Start Scanning If any threats are found click Details, then View log file... (bottom left hand corner) Copy and paste the results in your reply Close the Notepad document, close the Threat Details screen, then click Start cleanup Click Exit to close the program If no threats were found please confirm that result.... The Virus Removal Tool scans the following areas of your computer: Memory, including system memory on 32-bit (x86) versions of Windows The Windows registry All local hard drives, fixed and removable Mapped network drives are not scanned. Note: If threats are found in the computer memory, the scan stops. This is because further scanning could enable the threat to spread. mbeast Posted April 26, 2018 Author ID:1237123 Share Posted April 26, 2018 I looked it up on google and it says that it could be just a program or a virus that was removed but the temporary file is still there for some odd reason. mbeast Posted April 27, 2018 Author ID:1237409 Share Posted April 27, 2018 Thank you so much Kevin, truly you have been a life saver. I ran sophos and it found no issues and then I ran cc cleaner and deleted all the extra files and fixed all the issues and after restarting the program disaaparead from the task manager. Thank you very much. I could not get my laptop into recovery environment so I had to use a restore disk to get it into windows RE. Now every time I restart my computer, before the asus booting screen it gives me this option, as if I have my recovery disk still plugged in, which I dont. I attached the image. This is not a big issue for me so I am okay with it, but i was wondering whether you could help me fix it or not. If not I am good to go!
