marktreg Posted August 27, 2009 ID:115697 Share Posted August 27, 2009 Whilst installing a wireless router for my brother today, I noticed that my 14 year old nephew had the MBAM protection module running in the system tray of his laptop. When I mentioned this, he casually told me that he had downloaded MBAM from some 'warez' site. I told him that this was not a good idea, and I offered to buy him his own licensed version. I uninstalled this 'warez' version of MBAM, and downloaded the latest free version from the MBAM website. But when I installed it, it came up as a fully licensed version again with the ID and Key showing in the 'About' tab.Is there any way I can get rid of this 'warez' license information and replace it with a genuine license which I will buy for him? Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates. Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray.
