IP blocking slows Firefox loading

IP blocking is slowing down loading of Firefox 3.5.2 tremendously (from ~2 secs to ~20 secs). On starting Firefox, I hear a "pop," which seems to be Malwarebytes' way of informing you that IP blocker has identified a problem. Turning off IP blocking returns Firefox to fast loading and no "pop." This behavior does not occur on all computers, even configured similarly with similar software and processes running.

(Dell Optiplex 745, 2 GB RAM, 75 GB hard disk, 2.1 GHz Intel Dual Core Processor, Windows XP Professional SP 3).

I've not seen that myself but if you like we can run some scans and tools to see if we can track it down, or you can wait and see if the new version 1.41 coming out soon fixes it.
