Once the restart was complete my internet was gone and when i say gone i mean it doesn't even show the ability to connect via wifi. I have since run scans through malwarebytes and it shows nothing detected. i have attached the farbar recovery scan report and the last 2 malwarebytes reports, please if someone can help out it would be much appreciated.

If you haven't done so already, please run these two tools and then attach the logs in your next reply:

NOTE: The tools and the information obtained is safe and not harmful to your privacy or your computer, please allow the programs to run if blocked by your system.

  • Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST)
    1. Download FRST and save it to your desktop
Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit
    2. Double-click to run FRST and when the tool opens click "Yes" to the disclaimer
    3. Press the "Scan" button
    4. This will produce two files in the same location (directory) as FRST: FRST.txt and Addition.txt
      • Leave the log files in the current location, they will be automatically collected by mb-check once you complete the next set of instructions
  • MB-Check
    1. Download MB-Check and save to your desktop
    2. Double-click to run MB-Check and within a few second the command window will open, press "Enter" to accept the EULA then click "OK"
    3. This will produce one log file on your desktop: mb-check-results.zip
      • This file will include the FRST logs generated from the previous set of instructions
      • Attach this file to your forum post by clicking on the "Drag files here to attach, or choose files..." or simply drag the file to the attachment area

Greetings,

I'm sorry that you're still having problems.  It sounds as though the PUP you had (WinYahoo) might have messed with your internet connectivity while Malwarebytes was removing it.  We should be able to get this fixed.  First, please download and run Malwarebytes ADWCleaner from this page and allow it to remove anything it finds and reboot if prompted to complete the cleanup process.

Once that's done, check to see if your internet access has been restored.

If not, the please open Malwarebytes and go to Settings>Protection and scroll down to where it says Scan Options and turn on the setting Scan for rootkits then perform a Threat scan by either returning to the Dashboard tab and clicking Scan Now or going to the Scan tab and selecting Threat Scan and then clicking Start Scan.  Allow the scan to complete and once it does, have it remove anything it finds, restarting the computer if necessary to complete the removal process.

If the issue still persists, then please read and follow the instructions in this topic and create a new thread with the requested logs and information in the malware removal area by clicking here and one of our malware removal specialists will assist you in checking and cleaning the system of any remaining threats, and they should also be able to get your internet connection working properly again or advise you on what steps to take next to get the issue resolved.
