MB 3.4.5 tags website as fraud

MB just asked today if I wanted to upgrade. Immediately upon upgrading I went to visit a website where I always go to purchase my ecigs supplies. MB popped up the message that the website is a "Fraud". Can someone look into this and let me know if I've been dupped? Thanks

(alleged fraud website would be dubdubdub..v2.com)

If you haven't done so already, please run these two tools and then attach the logs in your next reply:

NOTE: The tools and the information obtained is safe and not harmful to your privacy or your computer, please allow the programs to run if blocked by your system.

  • Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST)
    1. Download FRST and save it to your desktop
Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit
    2. Double-click to run FRST and when the tool opens click "Yes" to the disclaimer
    3. Press the "Scan" button
    4. This will produce two files in the same location (directory) as FRST: FRST.txt and Addition.txt
      • Leave the log files in the current location, they will be automatically collected by mb-check once you complete the next set of instructions
  • MB-Check
    1. Download MB-Check and save to your desktop
    2. Double-click to run MB-Check and within a few second the command window will open, press "Enter" to accept the EULA then click "OK"
    3. This will produce one log file on your desktop: mb-check-results.zip
      • This file will include the FRST logs generated from the previous set of instructions
      • Attach this file to your forum post by clicking on the "Drag files here to attach, or choose files..." or simply drag the file to the attachment area

That's strange, I just came from that web site and no alert at all. And I don't disable anything in Kaspersky's settings when it comes to web traffic/security

Strange indeed. V2 products are sold in stores across the country and online. I've used them for years. If the WOT browser extension can't be trusted, then how can one learn to trust the evaluations from it. It's a real conundrum.

If you're seeing this only in Chrome and with every site you visit/every search you make then it's probably due to some kind of browser hijacker or malicious browser plugin.

Have you scanned with Malwarebytes to see if anything is infecting the system?  If it doesn't detect anything you might try running ADWCleaner and you also might take a look at this topic with regards to Chrome.

Thanks everyone

I have solved my problem I think

When accessing my golf club site via chrome, the website warning was for an address called ydp.pw and worldnaturenet.xyz

I blocked them in malwarebites by using their IP address seems to be working

Using all the recommended cleaners proved unsuccessful

Thanks again for your suggestions

For us older (septuagenarian) users,  is there a simplest-way-possible (maybe a few key strokes..) to stop these worldnaturenet.xyz popups by MWB? I would be happy just to minimize or shrink the MWB popup window but that is not even possible. My computer-savvy son (a programmer) might be able to do something but these pop-ups are driving me crazy. I will also try contacting MWB directly. Most of the technical explanations by MWB folks are way over my head.

Thanks!
