I don't know if this is anything serious

Recommended Posts

It sounds like the web protection component was blocking an ad embedded in the site you were visiting.  It's no big deal, just Malwarebytes doing its job.  In all likelihood the ad in question is blocked because the particular ad server being used is known for hosting malicious advertisements (called "malvertisements") which typically contain malicious content such as browser exploits, drive-by malware downloads or malicious redirects (like to malware infected sites, phishing sites or tech support scam pages).

Since it was blocked there's nothing further you need to do and nothing you need to worry about.

If you do notice any strange behavior in your system and/or browser and it seems as though you might be infected then go ahead and follow the instructions in this post and post the requested logs and one of our malware removal specialists will assist you directly in checking and cleaning your system to get it back in proper working order again.

If there is anything else we might assist you with please don't hesitate to let us know.

Thanks :)
