Running an antivirus alongside Malwarebytes Premium is optional, however as ncodex mentioned above, Windows Defender (or Microsoft Security Essentials if you're on Vista or Windows 7) should work just fine as a free, low impact option.

If you'd prefer something other than Microsoft's AV you could use Avast!, Avira, AVG, Bitdefender, COMODO, or the recently released free version of Kaspersky to name a few (all free) additional options.
