Hello,

last Scan with Malewarebytes free detected 5 Files as "Unknown.Rootkit.Driver" ?

The Files are:

Unknown.Rootkit.Driver, C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\ahcache.sys,
Unknown.Rootkit.Driver, C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\beep.sys,
Unknown.Rootkit.Driver, C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\bowser.sys,
Unknown.Rootkit.Driver, C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\dfsc.sys,
Unknown.Rootkit.Driver, C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\msfs.sys,

All located in C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\

AV check with my Sophos Home Premium and Avast Premier tell me the Files are safe (nothing detected) ?

Uploaded the 5 Files in a Zip File to Virustotal -> no engines detecting anything

I have no idea if  there is any infection on my system or is it a false positive -  i am very worried.
Can you help me please ?

Hi,

First and most important issue I have noticed is, you are running an outdated version of Malwarebytes:

It's since many versions we have addressed above detections.

That's why I suggest you update to our latest build: https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/ - mbam 3.3.1.2

This build will protect you a LOT better than previous builds (as it has a lot more and better pro-active detections )and has False Positive fixes in them as well (as in above).

OMG - Thank you very, very much. I'm a bit embarrassed
The new version actually detects no infection on my system.

but there was really no message about an update of malewarebytes although
I have activated this option in the options...very strange.

I am happy and satisfied again thanks for the really quick help :D
