Detecting our software as PUP

Recommended Posts

Unfortunately our last conversation was closed right after your answer.

Please notice the following:

Please notice that we have been developing and selling software since 1994. Our applications are always purchased and downloaded directly in our shop. These are never unwanted applications. Besides that our applications do not install any additional software.

Please correct this warning.

If you have further questions please let me know.

Answer Malwarbytes:

This is not a false positive as we are detecting your software as PUP.Abelssoft.

Last topic / Ascora GmbH:

we noticed that Malwarebytes blocks our site as malicious since a few days. Find enclosed two screenshots of the logs.

Abelssoft is a business unit of Ascora GmbH and is based in northern Germany. Our headquarter is located in Ganderkesee and we have a secondary office in Delmenhorst; both offices are located in Lower Saxony, Germany.

Since 1994 we have been developing and selling software as an Independent Software Vendor (ISV). Our software products have been translated into 14 different languages, and are distributed to end users worldwide. We are one of the leading providers of Windows Tools in Germany with more than 1.5 Mio active users.

All our apps are signed with a valid code signing certificate. You can see more about us and our Windows apps at http://www.abelssoft.net

Please correct the false positive detections with the next signature update.

That our customers have to adapt the settings is not really a solution for us. They first receive a warning and that is causing us to loose our customers confidence – and this without any reason. Since 1994 we are known as a trustworthy partner.

We would like to request a removal of the PUP status and we believe that we have been added accidentally.

Please check again which solution can be found here.

Thank you!
