Malwarebytes Strange problem

Recommended Posts

 • 3 weeks later...

It has nothing to do with Malwarebytes anti-malware. :(

The problem cause by bad programming of TuneUp Program Statistics Service (located on c:\windows\system32\TUProgSt.exe)

they didn't take care for directories with an apostrophe on their name.

To be more specified:

Its' obviously because of an extra apostrophe ( ' ) after the word "malwarebytes" inside the SQL clause:

(Started, Exe, ProcID, Resumed)
VALUES ('2009-08-20',
'\device\harddiskvolume1\program files\malwarebytes' anti-malware\mbam.exe\',
'2544', 0)
