LIfetime license not working

I had to uninstall MBAM as it was having an issue starting one of the services. I reinstalled using the MBAM uninstall program, said it would reinstall after a reboot. It didn't. I manually installed expecting it to recognize the license, but it did not. I now only have the free version working. I have the serial which is four sets of four characters. MBAM will not recognize it. There was never a license ID with this to my knowledge, , just the serial. I've had the pro version for a long time. Never an issue until just recently. Any help by admin appreciated.
