I just installed Malwarebytes 3 with the updated package version 1.0.3816

Was it a clean install done with the MB clean tool?

i don't think so, it installed the new version in an existing folder if i am not mistaken. I just followed the instructions for using the MB-Clean tool

Scan again please

192,855 files a minute and 32 seconds it hung up on me twice. Is this version the new and improved or are they not finished with the fix? Repeated the scan and it hung up again, i am not liking this!

Fix was finished Saturday afternoon my time.

The databases and scanning speed get optimized all the time.

What processor, how much ram and do you have a SSD?

Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core...only 16gigs of ram, yes ssd

That is about right for the fast scanning.

Remember the amount of files scanned are not just "files" it is also registry entries start up items. these are all super small individual files that take very little time to scan.

Mb also uses caching so it does not have to scan each "file" every time if there has not been a change. It all equals fast scans.

You are welcome to tend that computer to me and I can send you one of my slow ones.;):o

No, as long as it finishes the hang ups are because the GUI can not keep up with the speed. Known issue that comes and goes.

Here is my scan while I was waiting for you to post.
