When I open the program the dashboard doesn't open.  I checked for issues and it says there is an incompatible mbam.  I'm using version 3.3.1 and have Windows 7 Pro 64.

:welcome:

Let's try and get some logs first so the team can review them and see if they can tell what may be causing your issues.... Please use an Administrator account when doing the following,

  1. FIRST: Create and obtain Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST) logs
  2. Download FRST and save it to your desktop. Tell any program that blocks it to ignore or allow. It IS SAFE. It contains no info that can identify or harm you.
  3. NOTE: You need to run the version compatible with your system. You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit
  4. Double-click to run FRST and when the tool opens click "Yes" to the disclaimer
  5. Press the "Scan" button
  6. This will produce two files in the same location (directory) as FRST: FRST.txt and Addition.txt
NOTE: These two files will be collected by the MB-Check Tool and added to the zip file for you
  7. NEXT: Create and obtain an mb-check log
  8. Download MB-Check and save to your desktop
  9. Double-click to run MB-Check and within a few second the command window will open, then click "OK"
  10. This will produce one log file on your desktop: mb-check-results.zip
  11. Attach this file to your forum post by clicking on the "Drag files here to attach, or choose files..." or simply drag the file to the attachment area

Greetings,

Please do the following from an administrative user account(@TooCoolForShoes you are currently logged in as a limited user, so be sure to log in as an admin first or it won't work):

  1. Download and run the Malwarebytes Support Tool
  2. Accept the EULA and click Advanced Options on the main page (not Get Started)
  3. Click the Clean button, and allow it to restart your system and then reinstall Malwarebytes, either by allowing the tool to do so when it offers to on restart, or by downloading and installing the latest version from here

Once Malwarebytes is reinstalled and you've restarted if prompted to complete the installation process, check to see if Malwarebytes is now working properly.  If it is not, then run the Malwarebytes Support Tool again and once more click Advanced Options, but this time click on Gather Logs and then attach the ZIP file it creates to your next reply.

Please let us know how it goes.

Thanks

Question:

"MBAM appears to lose it's UI."  and "When I open the program the dashboard doesn't open"

And the funny answer:

"Can you also provide a screenshot ?"

Greetings,

Please open Avast! and disable the Real Site protection feature then restart your computer.  Also make certain that Fast Startup in Windows 10 is disabled.  To check, as well as to turn it off if it is enabled you can follow the instructions found on this page then restart your computer.

Once that is done, if Malwarebytes still won't work properly then please do the following to perform a clean installation of Malwarebytes:

After that, open Malwarebytes and go to Settings>Application and click on the Install Application Updates button and allow Malwarebytes to download and install any available program updates and then restart your system afterwards if prompted to do so.

Please let us know how it goes and if the problem still persists.

Thanks
