Exact same here.

Assuming these are all EXACTLY the same. Please first add exclusions.

I would like you to add these files to your (PC Pitstop Anti-Virus) exclusions list as mentioned in this FAQ HERE (my list below includes the exe files as well) Please restart your computer you do this.

  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\assistant.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\malwarebytes_assistant.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\mbam.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\MbamPt.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\MBAMService.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\mbamtray.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\MBAMWsc.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\mbamwow.exe
  • C:\Windows\system32\Drivers\farflt.sys
  • C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbae64.sys
  • C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys
  • C:\Windows\System32\drivers\MBAMChameleon.sys
  • C:\Windows\System32\drivers\MBAMSwissArmy.sys
  • C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mwac.sys

Also please exclude the following folders too: (The complete folder)

  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware
  • C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\MBAMService

If that fails, Use Mb-Clean to reinstall the program.

The clean removal tool will backup your license information and then re-enter the license to the new install.

Tool can be found at https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb_clean

If you guys haven't yet, please try following the instructions posted here to run mb-clean.exe/reinstall the latest version.  Once it has been installed, be sure to check for updates.  Hopefully that will resolve the issue.

Regarding PC Pitstop, if possible, try disabling it temporarily while you install/activate Malwarebytes 3.  Once it is installed and protection is active again, re-enable PC Pitstop and hopefully everything will work now, otherwise you may need to configure PC Pitstop to exclude Malwarebytes 3's files and processes.  I don't have PC Pitstop so I'm not certain how to create exclusions in it so you may need to check with their support for further details if you aren't sure how.

If you guys are still seeing the Web Protection not starting after yesterday's high RAM usage fix , please try the following steps.

1.First quit Malwarebytes from system tray .
2. Open up a command prompt as Administrator
3. Type in (without quotes) "sc delete mbamwebprotection"
4. Reboot computer
5. Enable Web protection from MBAM UI

It didnt work.

Let us get a clean install of the current version. 3.3.1

We have another tool called MB-Clean which will automate the whole process for you.

The clean removal tool will backup your license information and then re-enter the license to the new install.

Tool can be found at https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb_clean

1. After downloading the tool run the tool.

2. The tool will automatically clean up the older possibly damaged installation and will ask you for a restart.

3. Restart your system and then the MB-Clean tool will prompt you to re-install the latest product.

4. Click on "Yes" to reinstall MB 3.×.

5. Now you will have the latest product installed.

If it does not offer the new install after the reboot you can download and install from here.
