Did you disable the service while attempting to recover your machine?

(is there any reason why this forum uses the absolutely most mindblowing inanely stupid software)?   Just sitting here waiting for 21 more seconds before it will post.

Please try this:
1. Open up a command prompt as Administrator
2. Type in (without quotes) "sc delete mbamwebprotection" 
3. Reboot computer
4. Enable Web protection from MBAM UI

Can you please check if this fixes the issue ?

Hey guys - I freaked out last night (8 hours ago)

1. Get the update

2. Check memory usage (CTL-ALT-DEL)

3. Is it going crazy? (I think it took 21 secs because you had almost no memory left)

 

Update .xxxx84 helped a lot or even fixed it.

 

I thought I had a virus. Well, I guess I did and MWB gave it to me ... but whats a virus among friends, eh?
