Web protection still won’t start after fix

Updated and applied fix. Rebooted 3 times.  Web protection still will not start.

As soon as you reach the desktop after rebooting, right click on the malwarebytes icon, choose properties, then choose the tab where you can click on "Run as Administrator". That did the trick for me. If you are in the windows 10 menu, right click on malwarebytes, choose more, then click on "Run as Administrator". That's what finally got me going again.

About to start a new thread - you have to be COMPLETELY quit from MB, not just minimized.

Agreed oandroido. Quit MB in task manager. I was staring at a black screen, but was able to start task manger, quit MB, then reboot.

ugh. Still no. Completely quit out of MWB,  confirmed MBam service stopped in task manager  and rebooted. Still web protection won’t start.

Please try to reboot the computer once more.

If that still does not resolve your issue,  please try updating Malwarebytes 3 in safe mode with networking.

That is how I updated to 3803 in the first place.  My computer was completely hosed.

I also just tried again shutting down the service rebooting and web protection still won’t start

Rebooting did not help, not even 3 times, web protection could not be enabled. So I uninstalled MBAM3 and reinstalled, updated to 1.0.3803 and now everything is fine.

I have now rebooted about 15 times. I have manually shut down, quit the service, rebooted, and restarted 2 or 3 times. I have also applied the 3803 fix from safe mode twice. And I have confirmed to run as administrator.

Delete the MBAMService using an uninstaller - reboot and all should be fine.  MBAM Service will return upon reboot. Did this on my computer, no problems...

This is so not fixed...

Please try this:
1. Open up a command prompt as Administrator
2. Type in (without quotes) "sc delete mbamwebprotection" 
3. Reboot computer
4. Enable Web protection from MBAM UI

Let us know if that fixes the web protection issues.

I have the fix for you guys. This is the identical problem that happened on the same day last year to the day. This is my second fix video. (First time post)

Uninstall completely. Meaning if you reinstall it cant remember your serial number. It must be in the trial state. if not the web protection wont start..

Enter in your serial number, all fixed.

The only thing that finally worked was a complete uninstall and reinstall.
