I love that the MWB bot responded to this.

It's too bad that the program doesn't recognize the problem and quarantine itself as malware...

Malwarebytes is staying uninstalled. Really cannot trust it after what's happened today.

"Thanks for your patience", said Malwarebytes to Malwarebytes.

Reminiscent of calling the same helpline twice and making them talk to each other, seeing how long it takes for one of them to crack.

Malwarebytes doesn't quality test... they just push broken crap to their paying customers and see if it works okay. There are better options out there, take a look.

Software is acting like malware right now. That's the irony.

Eating up the performance and makes computer vulnerable.

While I appreciate mistakes happen, sending this update out is a pretty huge screw up.  How did it get past test?

Then go silently and take your crybaby attitude with you.

Eagerly awaiting the update fix. If the fix will be lengthy, perhaps rollback to the previous stable version in the meantime.

Please lock this thread so we can only get "official" replies...

Agreed, this should be a WATCH thread, given the number we have.  Lock and sticky.

I mean speaking honestly, it took me about 15 minutes to notice that my memory was spiking slowly from 200mb to 16gb. They've done thousands of these mini definition updates, so it must be extremely routine. What looks like a horrible mistake was probably just a normal day with unintended result.
