My computer didn't crash or reboot. I killed the service and disabled it. Killed it again a few times, and done. No muss, no fuss.

If you've really had 25 years of IT experience, you'd know that this is an incredibly minor if annoying problem. At this point, it requires nothing but patience. And maybe avoid the porn sites for a while.

You seriously have no idea what you're talking about. Just because you had that fix doesn't mean you can put this blanket of ignorance over all the people that are having this problem. like many of these people, I had tried your fix before I cam here with no avail and honestly I  personally don't watch porn.

It might be something to do with windowds defender antimalware update. Windows defender just updated its antimalware exe and associated .dll files about 15 minutes before MB started using enough RAM for me to notice something was going wrong (about 21GB of RAM) and i now have an "Antimalware Service Executable" showing on my task manager which i have not seen before today.updatess.thumb.jpg.7ce25a30091c6ae10d73678389486e06.jpg

Holy stuff. My mom came into my room to bring me a plate of chicken nuggets and I literally screamed at her and hit the plate of chicken nuggets out of her hand. She started yelling and swearing at me and I slammed the door on her. I’m so distressed right now I don’t know what to do. I didn’t mean to do that to my mom but I’m literally in shock from the events tonight. I feel like I’m going to explode. Why the censoreding censored is Malwarebytes eating up my ram? This can’t be happening. I’m having a censoreding breakdown. I don’t want to believe the world is so corrupt. I want a future to believe in. I want Malwarebytes  to be fixed and protect my computer again. I cannot censoreding deal with this right now. It wasn’t supposed to be like this, I thought Malwarebytes wasn't having any issues with memory leaks??? This is so censoreded.

Same issues here.. Just along for the ride ;)

I have not read all 20 pages of this thread, but is MB aware of the issue and working a fix?

As someone replied on a previous post.

The below staff member replied on this post and his profile page may indicate a notice of a fix.

My computer has crashed 3 times in the last hour since MB has updated... also web protection is no longer active.

What is going on here??? I didn't pay for this program to be a bigger nuisance than an actual virus.

You should just disable it or uninstall until they fix the problem. there is no working fix right now.

You might be on to something, when I sorted by memory and CPU usage, Windows Error Reporting and the Antimalware Executable were both going nuts as well.

And speaking of which, the last version @shadowwar mentioned with a potential fix, 1.0.3799, did not fix it. Still going crazy with memory.

Same problem..    Version 3.3.1.2183 just eats RAM until it is all used up then it starts paging.   Eventually it crashes.  Version on my laptop that has not updated to this version (using version 3.2.2,2018 is only using 78MB of RAM.   Please roll back and fix this issue.malwwarebytes4.PNG.3437436f4e6ac00e34847f95af6b9c8b.PNGs issue.
