IMPORTANT: i already posted the same message but in the wrong topic (i mistakenly posted it in malware removal), so i'm posting again here in the right forum. Sorry for the inconvenience....

Hi,

I'm planning to buy Malwarebytes Premium for 9 devices for 2 years, in order to use it on my 3 PCs and my 6 Android tablets and smartphones.

I just wonder 2 questions that have no answers on the forum or FAQ:

1: how does licensing activation/deactivation works on Android ? Is there the possibility to remove the license like on Windows, before uninstalling Malwarebytes ? Does the license deactivate itself before uninstallation ? I'm asking as i might change Android devices from time to time and wanted to know how that would work.

2: in case there are no options to remove a license on Android, i know there is the possibility to "deactivate all" licenses on the My Malwarebytes account. Is there a limit to how many times you can do it ? I'm asking as i tend to reformat my PCs and reset my Android devices frequently (a few times a year).

I'm just wondering as i wouldn't want to be stuck with unusable licenses.

Thanks a lot ;)

Hi @TrinitronMSDOS,

Just to make sure, it's the Malwarebytes for Android FAQs you are referencing, correct?

Although I'm not sure about deactivating, you may not need to.  Depending on if you use the same Google account on each device, or different accounts here's how our licensing works:

Multiple devices

How many Android devices can I protect with one Premium license?

If you purchased a license using Malwarebytes for Android, the license can be used on any Android device, as long as they have the same Google Play Account.

What if I want to protect multiple devices that use different Google Play Accounts?

We suggest purchasing a license from the Malwarebytes website if you wish to protect multiple Android devices with different Google Play Accounts.  The Malwarebytes website requires the customer to choose how many devices they want to protect.  You can choose up to 10 devices per license.

On Android at least, if you use the same Google account in Google Play, it shouldn't be problem regardless how times you reset your device.

I hope this adequately answers your questions relating to Malwarebytes for Android,

Nathan
