Do I need to do anything specific? Like excluding something? Or will they work. Can I run real time protection at the same time with both programs?

I would like you to add these files to your Anti-Virus exclusions list as mentioned in this FAQ HERE (my list below includes the exe files as well) Please restart your computer you do this.

  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\assistant.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\malwarebytes_assistant.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\mbam.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\MbamPt.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\MBAMService.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\mbamtray.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\MBAMWsc.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\mbamwow.exe
  • C:\Windows\system32\Drivers\farflt.sys
  • C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbae64.sys
  • C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys
  • C:\Windows\System32\drivers\MBAMChameleon.sys
  • C:\Windows\System32\drivers\MBAMSwissArmy.sys
  • C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mwac.sys

Personally, I have not had to do anything on machines that have Eset installed.  Both Eset and Malwarebytes seem to work fine together.

If you do run into issues with Malwarebytes Protection, then do as Porthos instructed above and add our files and folders to Eset's Exclusions

Are you supposed to exclude these Malwarebytes files and folders from scanning by the other AV software or to tell the other AV software not to scan files as these MalwareBytes programs access them? Or both?

Tell you AV to exclude/ignore the listed MB files. Each AV is different in their wording.
