Real Time Protection Keeps Turning Off with Kaspersky AV

Hi,

I was also getting the occasional pop up warning that web protection was turned off and it refused to start up again.

I then noticed that Kaspersky was running a Rootkit scan - The scan was approaching 100% and as soon as it finished, Web protection could be started.

The same happens if the machine is rebooted, effectively stopping the Kaspersky scan.

It appears that the rootkit scan interferes with MB and it would be interesting to establish if this was so with other AV products.

I keep getting this and finally realised it was the Kasperky root kit scan causing it.

Could you try the following:

• Open the Kaspersky Software.
• Click on Settings.
• Click on Performance on the left.
• Uncheck Perform regular rootkit scan
  • It may also be labeled "Search for software that is intended to conceal traces of a malicious program in the system"
• Reboot
