Tilken.B!cl infection

Back in early December ran Windows Defender and discovered that my Desktop three terabyte HD was infected with Tilken.B!cl virus.  My Window 7 Ultimate operating system had been severely compromised so I replaced my HD with a new Sold State Drive.  I remained committed to cleaning the old hard disk so I purchased a USB 3.1 PCI express and a docking station.  This allowed me to do a full scan on the 3TB HD with the Window Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT) in about 36 hours.   Attached are the images that show  that at near the end of the scan 84 files had been identified as infected.  This morning I expected to see a report on those infected files.  I would also show you an image of the screen capture of the MSRT that stated No Malicious Software Was Detected.  I also review the MRT.log file and not infections were identified.    Could it be that Tilken.B!cl has a way of preventing its removal using MSRT?    I noticed that there is a command line command for automatic removal which I will try next.   I thought you might like to know about this issue.

I am also running Malwarebytes 3.0 but so far it has not identified Tilken.B!cl as present. Also relative to MSRT, Malwarebytes is scanning slowly.  After 43 hours only 2million files have been scanned. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

No need to do a full scan. Once you've done one then that should be sufficient.

Malware sitting on a hard drive in a folder somewhere is not going to infect your computer. It needs to be on the live operating system via files, folders, registry, memory, etc.

Has the Malwarebytes scan finished ? Please post back the log if it found anything.

 

 

Please run the following steps and post back the logs as an attachment when ready.

STEP 01

 

Please download AdwCleaner by Malwarebytes and save the file to your Desktop.

• Right-click on the program and select Run as Administrator to start the tool.
• Accept the Terms of use.
• Wait until the database is updated.
• Click Scan.
• When finished, please click Clean.
• Your PC should reboot now if any items were found.
• After reboot, a log file will be opened. Copy its content into your next reply.

 

RESTART THE COMPUTER Before running Step 2

STEP 02
Please download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit

• Double-click to run it. When the tool opens, click Yes to disclaimer.
• Press the Scan button.
• It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
• The first time the tool is run, it also makes another log (Addition.txt). If you've, run the tool before you need to place a check mark here.
• Please attach the Additions.txt log to your reply as well.
