Blue Screen

I turned my PC on this morning and received a BSOD from nowhere. Computer was running fine yesterday and I hadn't installed anything.

Like moetee, my MBM is also popping up saying real time protection is turned off and I can't turn it back on.

It looks like your controller information was corrupted, can you use mb-clean to reinstall Malwarebytes? You can download it from https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb_clean

As for the blue screen, can you look for C:\Windows\MEMORY.dmp or files in C:\Windows\minidump and zip up those files and attach them in your reply if they exist?

I have run the cleaner and have successfully reinstalled MBM and is fully protected now.

Which controller was at fault?

I tried uploading the zipped dmp file but it says I have exceed my file limit.

It looks like the controller used to manage which version you're on was corrupted. Probably got corrupted during the blue screen (we've seen that before).

As for the dump file, you can use wetransfer.com to send the files to me, dcollins@malwarebytes.com
