Malwarebytes wont accept lifetime license. Exceeded max installs allowed?

Recommended Posts

I turned in a ticket awhile ago about this with multiple pictures of the invoice from newegg and the actual cd in it's slipclase with the id / key on it.

Ok.. so I tried to activate my malwarebytes and it says "The usage level has exceeded the maximum installs allowed. On the button it tells me I can deactivate other devices, but mb isn't bound to my account because it was a newegg promo, so I can't remove anything.

I understand why they do this, but it's a lifetime license and I rebuild / refresh my computer, then have to reinstall it everytime... and it's from 2012.. so yeah.. probably a few installs.

Is there any way this can be resolved? I haven't heard a peep from customer service since I turned in the ticket, so I'm taking this route.. hopefully I make some progress, because this is frustrating.
