Problem with recent Malwarebytes update on Windows 10 laptop

My laptop has Windows 10 loaded on it. This morning while attempting to start a scan, I was prompted to perform an upgrade on Malwarebytes. after the laptop went through its restart procedure, my Malwarebytes icon had disappeared and the program was nowhere  to be found on my laptop. Appreciate any help at this time.

Download the latest build from https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb3

Run the new installer
