I've noticed malwarebytes alerts me on this program as a PUP.Optional.Ask, but also an older version i've found after scan with MB got PUP.Optional.OpenCandy as a result.

Can anyone confirm this is a false result? Don't want to risk it and i'm surpriced techradar has it on its list with the best downloaders http://www.techradar.com/news/the-best-free-youtube-downloader

I doubt they are False Positives and both declarations are for Potentially Unwanted Programs ( PUPs ) and thus coincide.  The fact that an older and a newer version were both flagged as a PUP only indicate the probability that a different installation wrapper may be used.
