What is the current version from Malwarebytes Mobile?

Hello, I am a little bit confused now.

What is now the current version of Malwarebytes for Android?

I have here two Android devices.

The first one, this Android 4.2.2 Os, I have the App-Version 3.1.1.11.

And by the second, this Android 6.0.1 Os, I have AppVersion 3.1.0.11.

Why are both Versions, are different?

Or does it have to be that way, normal?

Hi @MAM,

I'll check with our support/developers after the holidays.  On my own personal phone I'm running Android OS 8.1.0 with Malwarebytes for Android, app version 3.1.1.10.  I know that we do limit app versions based on Android OS's due to limitations of what can be done on specific OS's.  Thus, most likely this is normal.  Not sure why the app version would be lower for a higher Android OS version though.  May want to double check that on your devices.

Now I have, on both Android devices the version 3.1.11.

.... .... apparently after an update, on the google store, on the Android 6.0.1 device.

No, I guess that was an update to google store.

Why does the update not come directly via Malwarebytes for Mobile?

Why do I have to go a detour to the google play store ???

Hi @MAM,

On Android devices, Google Play is what controls all installs/updates of apps.  Therefore, we have to go through Google Play like all other app developers.

@MAM Sometimes it takes some time to reach every user. Especially if you are using different google accounts on different devices. 

When you are not sure, you can go to Play Store and manually check if there's an update. And if you still not sure, you can try clearing the cache of Google Play Store and try again.

well, i use one  Access to Google Store, but for two Android Devices.

In the future, I'll visit the Google Store more often to keep Malwarebytes up to date on mobile.
