Tonight, I started getting a constant (every few seconds) Malwarebytes pop-up telling me that Malwarebytes has blocked c7e935.netlify.com. I have cleared the cache and cookies, but that did not help at all. It is happening with Chrome. I have run the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and have searched the computer as well as the registry, but Farbar has found nothing. In the time it has taken me to type these three sentences, I have had to close 7 pop-ups telling me that Malwarebytes has blocked this c7e935.netlify.com in Chrome. Has anyone else encountered this c7e935.netlify.com pop-up? Attached is a screenshot of the annoying pop-up. (Yes, I know I can exclude the annoying c7e935.netlify.com pop-up, but since I have no idea what this URL is attempting to do, I certainly do not want to allow it to connect.) Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You can try clearing all your cookies and doing a browser reset and see if that helps or not. It is most likely an addon.

 

Please visit each of the following sites and let's reset all of your browsers back to defaults to prevent unexpected issues.
If you are not using one of the browsers but it is installed then you may want to consider uninstalling it as older versions of some software can pose an increase in the potential for an infection to get in.

Internet Explorer

Firefox
Click on Help / Troubleshooting Information then click on the Refresh Firefox button.

Chrome
Reset Chrome back to defaults to completely clear out issues with Chrome.

  • First, go to >> Google Sync << and sign into your account. Make sure you know your password as this will clear it from the browser.
  • Scroll down until you see the  reset_chrome_sync.png "reset sync" button to clear your data from the server and remove your passphrase.
  • Now, close all Chrome windows. Chrome cannot be running for the next step. If needed, print this information or use another browser to read the information.
  • Press the Windows key + R at the same time, to bring up the run dialog box.

  • Type in (or copy/paste) the following and press Enter:     %localappdata%\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\
  1. Press Ctrl + A to select all the files and folders.
  2. Hold down Ctrl + A and click once on the files "Bookmarks" and "Bookmarks.bak". This will unselect them.
  3. With all the files selected (except for your Bookmarks), press the Delete key and click Yes to delete the files and folders.

Restart your computer now and make sure there are no longer any redirects or other browser issues.

THAT is the point. I think one of the extensions is causing this. But let's do the below first.

Let's try and get some logs first so the team can review them and see if they can tell what may be causing your issues....

  1. FIRST: Create and obtain Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST) logs
  2. Download FRST and save it to your desktop. Tell any program that blocks it to ignore or allow. It IS SAFE. It contains no info that can identify or harm you.
  3. NOTE: You need to run the version compatible with your system. You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit
  4. Double-click to run FRST and when the tool opens click "Yes" to the disclaimer
  5. Press the "Scan" button
  6. This will produce two files in the same location (directory) as FRST: FRST.txt and Addition.txt
    NOTE: These two files will be collected by the MB-Check Tool and added to the zip file for you
  7. NEXT: Create and obtain an mb-check log
  8. Download MB-Check and save to your desktop
  9. Double-click to run MB-Check and within a few second the command window will open, then click "OK"
  10. This will produce one log file on your desktop: mb-check-results.zip
  11. Attach this file to your forum post by clicking on the "Drag files here to attach, or choose files..." or simply drag the file to the attachment area
