no icon in notification area

Hi i've noticed the icon in the notification area no longer shows up i've checked in the notification area icons on the control panel but it doesnt appear as an option to show the icon

Version: 3.2.2.2018

Component Package: 1.0.212

Update Package Version: 1.0.3531

Windows OP: Windows 7 Home Premium(64 bit)

We have another tool called MB-Clean which will automate the whole process for you.

 Tool can be found at https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb_clean

 

1. After downloading the tool run the tool.

2. The tool will automatically clean up the older possibly damaged installation and will ask you for a restart.

3. Restart your system and then the MB-Clean tool will prompt you to re-install the latest product .

4. Click on "Yes" to reinstall MB 3.×.

5. Now you will have the latest product installed. If it does not offer the new install after the reboot you can download and install from here.

 Please let me know if you are still seeing issues after the latest product install.

Hi @Arsenal123   I had a similar issue with a Win7 which was fixed with the latest  component package version 1.0.262. You seem to have an earlier version .

If you open Malwarebytes GUI through the desktop icon , go to "settings" then "Application " and then click on "Install Application Updates" Malwarebytes should update to the latest component package. That did at least fix the no icon on my laptop - it did take a few reboots for the icon to become stable but now works all the  time. It might just help you also. You might need to update to the latest version 3.3.1 first though as Porthos has suggested.

I have the same issue that persists even with that component package.
