Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted December 19, 2017 Root Admin ID:1192799 Share Posted December 19, 2017 Hello @kristell Did you mean CSS as in creating web pages? https://www.w3schools.com/w3css/w3css_references.asp Ron
Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted December 19, 2017 Root Admin ID:1192800 Share Posted December 19, 2017 (edited) I have no experience with it myself. Just searches on Google http://www.javascriptkit.com/dhtmltutors/parallaxscrolling/page2.shtml https://css-tricks.com/forums/topic/parallax-on-mobile/ https://stackoverflow.com/questions/44416732/parallax-scrolling-not-working-on-mobile-css https://developer.telerik.com/featured/scroll-event-change-ios-8-big-deal/ Edited December 19, 2017 by AdvancedSetup
kristell Posted December 19, 2017 Author ID:1192805 Share Posted December 19, 2017 Yes - that's correct CSS for website development. I need someone to look at the code. I have tried some of those examples (thank you) but can't seem to get it to work. So I was looking for a forum where I could get somebody to look at the code and see what's happening. Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted December 19, 2017 Root Admin ID:1192815 Share Posted December 19, 2017 Not always as quick as one would like, but posting on the stackoverflow site often gets a reply. Just make sure you post in the correct location as they can be very picky about where you post. Wish I had another resource for you but not something I've done before myself. I could possibly check with some other resources internally tomorrow during the day and if I find anything post back again Cheers Ron

IsThisAllowed Posted December 26, 2017 ID:1194696 Share Posted December 26, 2017 (edited) Stackoverflow is a bad choice for this. For one thing they tend to be rude, especially for beginners. If the question is a beginner questions they are likely to criticize it. They expect you to first search for previous answers and if we don't know enough to know how to search for a relevant answer then they are not likely to be understanding. They only want questions that have not been asked before and they strongly discourage discussion. You can try the The SitePoint Forums. I don't like them for two reasons; for one they are lousy at discussing philosophical topics and another is that they are too competitive and quite intolerant when I post links to other sites. They however might be quite helpful at solving problems such as this for beginners. https://www.sitepoint.com/community I have in the past posted a philosophical question about CSS. Those people never could understand my question. Some responses tried to tell me how to solve my problem but I did not have a problem to solve; my question was more about the design of CSS than the use of it. CSS is way too complicated for what it does. There are too many exceptions and peculiarities. HTML was not designed well (it was not designed to do many of the things it is now used to do) and CSS was designed to enhance HTML and CSS adds to the confusion. I have been programming for nearly half a century and have learned many languages and I sure have difficulty with CSS. Assembly language is easier for me to understand than CSS because the makers of processors document their machine's instructions with precision.. Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted December 26, 2017 Root Admin ID:1194700 Share Posted December 26, 2017 Thank you for your input @IsThisAllowed I don't disagree that Stackoverflow is a bit on the rude side, and I did say they are very picky. As for the sitepoint link I removed the hyperlink as they are very aggressive in marketing and SEO. Anyone that wants to visit that site is advised to use both an Ad Blocker and script blocker and chose which elements you want to allow.
