Scan question

Hey Guys,

I have a question about Malwarebytes 3 scanning.

So Yesterday I did several scans using Hyperscan and it found nothing so I thought that was great.
So then I ran adwcleaner and it found some stuff called adware.yontoo and it could not remove it.
So i ran Malwarebytes 3 hyper scan and it still found nothing, I then ran Custom scan and it found 5 adware.yontoo and I cleaned them and all is good.

My question is why would hyper scan not see the adware.yontoo items in the registry? As that is where they were.

Is this normal and why would registry be ignored when using hyperscan?

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the links as I have not read them in awhile.
I understand and will now use custom scans instead of Hyper Scans.

Threat scan is all you need not a full custom scan.
