Windows won't go past sign in (pin) screen after reboot

Recommended Posts

After reboot after quarantining 47 suspected threats, my computer will not go past the Windows 10 start up screen.  There is no mouse available to try to get into safe mode.  I don't have the option to press a key on the keyboard to put in my pin number. It appears that the keyboard is not functioning either.  It's just the default windows picture with the time on it.  I'm tried turning off and on, taking the battery out and turning back on.  No luck.  Help!

I would suggest posting over in the Malware Removal for Windows forums:  https://forums.malwarebytes.com/forum/7-malware-removal-for-windows/

What I suspect happened was that one of the quarantined items was essential to the bootup process.  And when it was quarantined, the system along until it wasn't able to do any more.
I'd hesitate trying to fix it in this forum as I'm uncertain if there's other damage - and I may just make things worse.
Once you're finished with the malware removal, feel free to post back here and we'll continue working on it.

Good luck!
