malwarebytes won't open

Yesterday a screen took over my PC and said in bad english it was related to Foxfire and I could make a donation if I wished. I got rid of the screen and noticed my computer seemed to be running very slowly. When I tried to open malwarebytes I just get a timer and nothing happens. Occasionally, the tray open and it says that all my protection is turned off. I have sent in a support ticket.

For starters you are running an older version (3.1.2) I would try to download the latest version and see if that corrects the issue with opening MB3 and protection staying enabled.
