Then restart the computer and run the MB-Check tool again please.

A few days ago you said:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\appCompatFlags\Layers

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\appCompatFlags\Layers

--- I did that last night

The two installs - that thought I was running WIN XP - no longer do that

Some crucial DOS programs that run under XP in VM continue to work correctly

A program that is supposed to start at boot time - and has not for over a year - now starts correctly

Nice work

Okay, Please run the MB-Clean program again to fully remove our program. Then this time go ahead and let the program install the regular build.

Then activate it and reboot and if the protection module is still off run the MB-Check program again and post back a new zip file.

Thanks

Ron

Sounds good.

Make sure you're using some type of Ad blocker on Firefox. I also really like NoScript but many users seem to have difficulty using it. Once you do train it though and get use to it you'll often wonder how you got along without it.

Unless there is something else then, I'll go ahead and close your topic soon.

Thank you again

Ron
