DrewSky Posted August 14, 2009 ID:109914 Share Posted August 14, 2009 Hi. I've been having a skynet problem for the past couple of days. Every time I click on something (everything, actually), I get this: The application or DLL globalroot\systemroot\system32\SKYNETlpkhgrxo.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.I've run Malwarebytes, superantispyware, spybot, and spyware doctor 2 or 3 times each. Spyware doctor gives me the win32.TDSS.rtk with skynet. I've tried running combofix, but I get so many of those messages that it can't do anything. I also can't get my computer to start in safe mode. It just keeps restarting itself until I tell it to start normally. The last malwarebytes scan didn't have any problems on it, but as nothing has changed, skynet is obviously still there.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.38Database version: 2374Windows 5.1.2600 Service Pack 38/14/2009 12:28:58 AMmbam-log-2009-08-14 (00-28-58).txtScan type: Full Scan (C:\|D:\|F:\|)Objects scanned: 291194Time elapsed: 39 minute(s), 46 second(s)Memory Processes Infected: 0Memory Modules Infected: 0Registry Keys Infected: 0Registry Values Infected: 0Registry Data Items Infected: 0Folders Infected: 0Files Infected: 0Memory Processes Infected:(No malicious items detected)Memory Modules Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Keys Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Values Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Data Items Infected:(No malicious items detected)Folders Infected:(No malicious items detected)Files Infected:(No malicious items detected)This is from the last scan that caught it, which was 2 before the last:Files Infected:C:\WINDOWS\system32\logon.exe (Trojan.Agent) -> Delete on reboot.c:\WINDOWS\system32\SKYNETjxjdsxwk.dat (Trojan.Agent) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.c:\WINDOWS\system32\SKYNETuikgyjky.dat (Trojan.Agent) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.c:\WINDOWS\system32\SKYNETlpkhgrxo.dll (Trojan.Agent) -> Delete on reboot.c:\WINDOWS\system32\SKYNETrtqlmsqt.dll (Trojan.Agent) -> Delete on reboot.c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\SKYNETtomqhylk.sys (Trojan.Agent) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2Scan saved at 12:43:40 AM, on 8/14/2009Platform: Windows XP SP3 (WinNT 5.01.2600)MSIE: Internet Explorer v8.00 (8.00.6001.18702)Boot mode: NormalRunning processes:C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exeC:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware\aawservice.exeC:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXEC:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exeC:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin\AppleMobileDeviceService.exeC:\WINDOWS\arservice.exeC:\Program Files\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exeC:\WINDOWS\eHome\ehRecvr.exeC:\WINDOWS\eHome\ehSched.exeC:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\jqs.exeC:\Program Files\McAfee\SiteAdvisor\McSACore.exeC:\PROGRA~1\McAfee\MSC\mcmscsvc.exec:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\mcafee\mna\mcnasvc.exec:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\mcafee\mcproxy\mcproxy.exeC:\Program Files\McAfee\VirusScan\McShield.exeC:\Program Files\McAfee\MPF\MPFSrv.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.exeC:\Program Files\Common Files\New Boundary\PrismXL\PRISMXL.SYSC:\Program Files\Macrium\Reflect\ReflectService.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exeC:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Common\ViewpointService.exeC:\Program Files\Linksys Wireless-G USB Wireless Network Monitor\WLService.exeC:\Program Files\Linksys Wireless-G USB Wireless Network Monitor\WUSB54Gv42.exeC:\Program Files\Yahoo!\SoftwareUpdate\YahooAUService.exec:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com\agent\mcagent.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\dllhost.exeC:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTTask.exeC:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exeC:\Program Files\IObit\Advanced SystemCare 3\AWC.exeC:\Program Files\iPod\bin\iPodService.exeC:\PROGRA~1\McAfee\VIRUSS~1\mcsysmon.exeC:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exeR0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.yahoo.com/R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=69157R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=54896R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://us.rd.yahoo.com/customize/ie/defaul...rch/search.htmlR1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=54896R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=69157R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://us.rd.yahoo.com/customize/ie/defaul...//www.yahoo.comR1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Connection Wizard,ShellNext = http://www.gateway.com/g/startpage.html?Ch...TP&M=GT5220R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = *.localR3 - URLSearchHook: Yahoo! Staff miekiemoes Posted August 18, 2009 Staff ID:111504 Share Posted August 18, 2009 Hi,Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.38Database version: 2374Windows 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3First of all, please update MalwareBytes, because the main version and databaseversion is way outdated.Start MalwareBytes and click the Update tab. There click "Check for updates"In case you can't update the database via the update option, please download and install the database from here. Only do this when the update option doesn't work.Once the updates are downloaded, perform a quick scan again. The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient. When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply along with a fresh HijackThis log, then we'll proceed from there with new steps.Extra Note:If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediatly.
