Mail Protection ?

Malwarebytes for Mac does not actually scan e-mail attachments... and, in my opinion, it shouldn't. No anti-virus software should.

The problem with scanning Mail messages is that using anything other than Mail to remove things from a Mail mailbox can corrupt that mailbox. Worse, it doesn't properly remove the attachment or message from the mail server, so it may just get re-downloaded later. The proper place for scanning of e-mail messages is on the mail server.

If by some chance you receive an e-mail message with a Mac threat - which is actually quite rare - it cannot do any damage unless you open it yourself. If you do that, the real-time protection in Malwarebytes for Mac should detect and block anything it might try to do if it's malicious.
