I disabled "web protection" and MBAM icon doesn't have a RED X mark on it (as usual)

While I like this behavior, I am wondering if this is by design or is just a flaw in the present version (3.3.1.2183)

Do you have the following setting turned off?

Setting is OFF, but this is for notification (like pop up message) not for X RED MARK on the icon.

On previous versions I had the same setting OFF, but un X RED mark was present on the icon,

Ahh good point. I do see the red exclamation point on my tray icon. Have you tried quitting Malwarebytes from the system tray and restarting it?

Yes, I did that, + uninstall, clean, install , but is the same ; once again, in my situation it is a DESIRED behavior.

I use MB Premium v3.3.1.2183 on a 32-bit Vista SP2 computer and have both Web Protection and Exploit Protection disabled.

I can confirm that the red exclamation mark on the MB icon my system tray is only displayed if Settings | Application | Notifications | Show Notifications when Real Time Protection settings are turned off is enabled (turned ON) as shown in post # 2 . As soon as I disable (turn OFF) Show Notifications when Real Time Protection settings are turned off the red exclamation mark in my system tray icon disappears.

This behaviour on MB v3.x is different from what I used to see with MBAM v2.x.  With MBAM v2.x, the icon always had a red exclamation if any real-time feature like Web Protection was disabled.
