How do I link an activated key to my account

Recommended Posts

I just bought and installed malwarebytes and installed it. Then I created an account but my license key is not showing up in my account. How do I link then up so I can manage the remaining keys? When I open up my malwarebytes and go to manage my subscription it says "whoops something went wrong" and after signing in it tells me I have no active products. So there is an issue with my license key not being linked to my account, I just can't figure out how to link them.

Hi! Led  If you got Malwarebytes  thru the website here: https://www.malwarebytes.com/  then you should have an email with your License Key info. -  If you can't find it?  and bought it on-line

here?  Try:  https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-1264  Purchase Lookup  Also see the Frequently Asked Questions     (on the left side )     https://support.malwarebytes.com/community/consumer/pages/contact-us

If you got the Product somewhere else?    Managing subscriptions in your Malwarebytes account  https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-1032

Or you have another issue not covered above? Please post back here...........regards....

Did you sign up using the same email address which you used to purchase MBAM (from MB directly)? You have to be using the same address for the license to show.

Thanks for the replies!!! I bought my copy of MB at my local tech store. I have have been looking for a tab while I'm logged into MB My Account to enter the license key. But I can't figure out where to do this. Am I just overlooking it or is it simple just not an option? I was able to active MB on the the free trial screen on my task bar using the store purchased key and it works but it didn't have any sort of account registration as I was activating it.

It is not an option at this time. If you did not buy online at Malwarebytes.com you will have to wait for them to come up with a better solution.

How do I go about deactivating old devices if I can't look them up online? I had a laptop die - during the reinstall my malwarebytes key is now over the limit, but I can't deactivate the old device since I bought my license from Newegg.

It depends on the type of license you purchased.  A one year subscription for Malwarebytes Premium is good for 1 to 3 devices depending on the type of license you purchased and the price ($39.99 currently for 1 device, $59.99 for 3 devices) but if it's an older lifetime license key then it's only good for 1 device and you'd need to deactivate it on the original device before installing it on a new one.

Pricing information for home users can be found here.

If you aren't sure what type of license you have, you should be able to open Malwarebytes and click the My Account button to see more info, including when it expires.  You my also access the My Account Portal there by clicking the Go to My Account button in that tab.

If you are still unable to determine precisely what type of license you have based on that information then you may contact Support directly via one of the options on this page and they should be able to look up your license info for you and provide you with the details.
