HaroldW Posted November 21, 2017 ID:1185486 Share Posted November 21, 2017 Howdy, Every time I install, it says it needs to reboot to complete, after reboot, it tries to install, says it needs to reboot to complete, etc. I read through: and I don't have the registry keys for: 1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware_is1 2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{35065F43-4BB2-439A-BFF7-0F1014F2E0CD}_is1 Attached are my results from Check, Clean, and FRST. nikhils Posted November 21, 2017 ID:1185522 Share Posted November 21, 2017 (edited) Hello @HaroldW Can you please try this: 1. Download the mbam_clean tool from: xxx 2. Run the tool. Tool will ask you for a reboot. 3. After reboot please run the latest MB 3.3.1 build from https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb3 Let us know if that worked. Post updated [02/12/2021 - AdvancedSetup] The following MBST tool should be used to perform a clean removal and reinstall https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039023473-Uninstall-and-reinstall-using-the-Malwarebytes-Support-Tool Edited February 13, 2021 by AdvancedSetup updated information
HaroldW Posted November 22, 2017 Author ID:1185612 Share Posted November 22, 2017 Downloaded the latest clean file, ran it, rebooted. After reboot, downloaded the 3.3.1 build, ran it, it started up and then said it needed to reboot to complete installation. Rebooted, after reboot it automatically restarted the setup. Click Agree, and then it says my computer must be restarted to complete the installation again. Still stuck in the reboot loop.

nikhils Posted November 23, 2017 ID:1186011 Share Posted November 23, 2017 Hello @HaroldW Can you please try something just to rule out an infection. Can you boot into safe mode and run the latest installer and check if its doing the same thing (asking for a reboot)
HaroldW Posted December 5, 2017 Author ID:1189262 Share Posted December 5, 2017 Sorry for the delay, I had to go out to the customer site. I booted into safe mode, no networking. Ran the MB3-Setup-Consumer-3.3.1.2183.exe and it said it would need to reboot to complete setup. Rebooted back to safe mode, run setup, and it's back in the boot loop. Boot back to normal mode, setup tries to continue to run but it's also back in the boot loop. Same situation. Thanks, Harold
