Caught unhandled unknown exception

I get "Caught unhandled unknown exception" error on ADWcleaner and program hangs on standard Windows 10 installation

Did you intentionally install Driver Updater?  If not, follow the instructions in that pinned topic and let me know if you've posted logs.

Thanks for the feedback. No -  the Driver update was unintentional. Did not check what I was clicking on.

What you can do then, is open Control Panel > Programs and features

Look for Driver Update in the Installed Programs list and uninstall it.  Let me know if you don't see it or have any trouble uninstalling it.

It was uninstalled, but probably some "straggler" entries and files thet were left. Everything is fine now

That would be it - stragglers.

It is general practice for most software to leave behind folders. The folders it leaves behind, generally contain the settings used, so they leave it behind in the event someone is upgrading to a new version, or just uninstalling and reinstalling due to issues with the software. By leaving certain folders behind, those settings are retained for convenience to the user if they do upgrade or reinstall.
