Determining whether reported malware is actually malware

Hello--

I am a premium user.  Starting yesterday (2017-11-15), Malwarebytes has been flagging the Chrome extension "SearchBar" as malware.  (Labeling it PUP.Optional.SearchBar.)  How can I determine whether it is actually malware or just a mistake in reporting by Malwarebytes?

I am having a difficult time considering this malware, as I've been using it for many years, and there have been no recent updates to it.  Yet, yesterday was the first time it was picked up as malware.

Attached is my latest log, as requested from the pinned topic in this forum.

(Please note that I have not quarantined any of the SearchBar files that Malwarebytes has flagged.)

Thanks,

Mike
