Web Protection can't be turned on

Sorry that I don't have a solution, as I am having the same issue. Only I wasn't on the WP crossword. I just noticed the Malwarebyte icon in my taskbar with a red trianble. Opened Malwarebytes to see what was going on and noticed that Web Protection was off and Ransomeware Protection was off. When I try to turn them both on, they come on for a moment, then turn off again. If I have Malwarebytes open for any length of time looking at settings or Scan sections, Malwarebytes pops an error saying "We're sorry, but the Malwarebytes service stopped working. The program will now restart.  This just started happening with the last update.

Can't download anything. Whatever has grabbed my system keeps filling the hard drive to max as fast as I can delete things to make room to download tools to fix it.

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system.
You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit

• Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
• Press Scan button.
• It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
• The first time the tool is run, it also makes another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply as well.
