I deleted all my other search engines which seemed to mostly fix it however I still have one instance of this but I'll probably find a way to get rid of it I'm just wondering how serious this is like what has it/could it have done? It's being marked as malware though but I dont understand how search engines or synced data can be malware, I changed the name of my secure preferences file so it had to generate a new one then I rescan and nothing bad but then when I synced chrome it came back, I'm just wondering if its serious because I dont really want to reset my sync data and lose everything Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Basically, manually clean up your New Tab, Search Engines and On start-up settings? And Elex is an Adware, so not the kind of malware that will steal your data.
