Mughthesec- sent here from YouTube Channel

I was referred to post here by Thomas Reed for help. 

Message copy left on your YouTube Channel: My Mac Pro running El Capitan is infected with Mughthesec and my Internet on that machine is barely working. I moved all my photos and documents to another hard drive then securely wiped my Time Machine and backed everything back up to Time Machine.   I run a Sophos and Malwarebytes scan and no threats are detected but my internet is still barely working. Do you have any suggestions?

I have since downloaded AVG and that scan also was clean but my problem hasn’t been resolved. I tested my network and it shows its working and it’s just the Mac that is having issues.

If all those scanners say you are clean and since OS X El Capitan also protects and removes Mughthesec, I'm not sure what more can be done for you here.

Perhaps if you could explain in detail what you mean by "Internet is barely working" we could point you in the right direction.

One suggestion would be to post a detailed explanation in the Apple Support Community.

I'd like to get more information about your system. I'm attaching a script app named Get System Profile. Please run that on the affected machine. When it finishes, it will ask you to save a file. Do so, then send me that file via a direct message. (There may be some information in that file that you wouldn't want to post publicly here, so I recommend direct messaging instead.) Click my name or avatar at left, then click the Message button.

It's entirely possible that your internet problems are not related to any kind of threat on your Mac, but this information will help rule that out.

Thanks for your kindness in wanting to help.  I have since taken my Mac to the Apple store and put in a new SSD and had a clean install of the operating system. The problem was just a neywork issue.
