What is wrong with it?

Let's try and get some logs first so the team can review them and see if they can tell what may be causing your issues....

  1. FIRST: Create and obtain Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST) logs
  2. Download FRST and save it to your desktop
NOTE: You need to run the version compatible with your system. You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit
  3. Double-click to run FRST and when the tool opens click "Yes" to the disclaimer
  4. Press the "Scan" button
  5. This will product two files in the same location (directory) as FRST: FRST.txt and Addition.txt
NOTE: These two files will be collected by the MB-Check Tool and added to the zip file for you
  6. NEXT: Create and obtain an mb-check log
  7. Download MB-Check and save to your desktop
  8. Double-click to run MB-Check and within a few second the command window will open, then click "OK"
  9. This will produce one log file on your desktop: mb-check-results.zip
  10. Attach this file to your forum post by clicking on the "Drag files here to attach, or choose files..." or simply drag the file to the attachment area

I have Malwarebytes Premium. I  also am having ongoing issues with Malwarebytes not updating, and not staying in Web and Malware protection mode. When I check my account version it shows 3.2.2.2029 - how do I upload the new version since the software is not doing it automatically?  Frequently it won't update either but at other times it says it's checked for updates (I have auto update on).  This has been going on for over a year and I'm getting really fed-up with the software. :(

just downloaded 3.3.1 from a link in another post and the problem seems fixed for now.  But I'm still frustrated with how often problems are developing with this software.

Looked back and I see you have never produced the Diagnostic logs we ask for so we cant really "see" what is happening with your computer.

There could be an underlying cause for issues and the logs can help us find it and fix your ongoing issues. Peoples first response is to blame the software for the issues and many times that is not the case.

It is best to look at the issue when it is happening but answers can many times be found after you install. if you are willing please start your own topic and gather the following.

Let's try and get some logs first so the team can review them and see if they can tell what may be causing your issues....

  1. FIRST: Create and obtain Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST) logs
  2. Download FRST and save it to your desktop. Tell any program that blocks it to ignore or allow. It IS SAFE. It contains no info that can identify or harm you.
  3. NOTE: You need to run the version compatible with your system. You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit
